The J & T Windmills Brand Was Created By Father And Son Duo Joseph And Thomas Windmills. Joseph’S Exact Date Of Birth Is Uncertain, But It Is Known To Have Been Around 1640/1650. He Was One Of The Finest Watchmakers In Late Seventeenth Century London. Joseph Made A Prolific Number Of Lantern Clocks In All Sizes And Qualities, Bringing The Windmills Name Into The Public Eye. The Earliest Watch Produced By The Brand Was Created Before 1680. It Did Not Feature A Balance Spring, So It Was Not Especially Functional. This Model Currently Resides In The British Museum. Thomas Took Over The Brand In 1724 After His Father’S Death.
